Crop and rotate images: how it works
Crop, rotate, flip
Add an image, then open Crop & edit. Drag the corners to crop, choose a fixed ratio when you need a square or a screen shape, rotate in steps and flip it horizontally or vertically. The preview shows the result before you save.
Edit one image or many
Each image keeps its own crop, so you can edit a few and leave the rest. Output is set to Original, so files are saved in the format they came in. Switch the format or scale in the options if you also want to convert or shrink them.
Stays on your device
Cropping happens in your browser and the images are never uploaded.
What it does
What you can do with your images
Convert iPhone photos, shrink files for email or the web, and crop to an exact size, one image or a whole batch at a time. Your images never leave your device.

01
Convert HEIC photos to JPEG or PNG
iPhones save photos as HEIC, which Windows, many websites and older apps can't open. Convert them to JPEG for sharing, or PNG when you need lossless quality. It works in Chrome, Edge and Firefox as well as Safari.
In your browser -
02
Make images smaller
Scale images down from 1% to 100% and set the quality for JPEG, WebP, AVIF and PDF. WebP and AVIF are usually far smaller than JPEG at the same quality. Each image shows its size before and after, like

03
Compress PNGs without losing anything
The PNG compression slider trades speed for size. The result is always pixel-for-pixel identical to the original: images with few colours are stored as a palette, and an alpha channel that isn't used is dropped.

04
Crop, rotate and flip
Drag a crop box or type exact pixel values, and lock it to 1:1, 4:3, 3:2, 16:9 or 9:16 for profile pictures, thumbnails and stories. Rotate in 90° steps, flip either way, and give any image its own scale.

05
Turn images into PDFs and icons
Save any image as a one-page PDF to email or upload where only documents are accepted, or as an ICO favicon with every standard icon size inside (16 px up to 256 px).

Work in batches

Questions
Asked often
Can I crop to a square?
Yes. Choose the 1:1 ratio in Crop & edit.
Does cropping reduce quality?
Cropping itself does not. A lossy format like JPG is re-encoded on save, so keep the quality high if that matters.
Can I crop several images with the same settings?
Each image has its own crop. Settings like scale and format apply to all of them.
Can I rotate a photo by 90 degrees?
Yes. Crop & edit rotates in 90° steps, both ways.
Can I crop for Instagram or a profile picture?
Yes. Use 1:1 for square posts and profile pictures, or 9:16 for stories.
Can I crop a HEIC photo?
Yes. It is read in your browser and saved as JPEG, since a browser cannot write HEIC.
